(more) Things That Make You Say "Alhamdulillah!"

After looking for ages, and by ages I mean a few minutes, I couldn't find the previous topic about this, so I decided to start another:


Lipton Ice Tea (both Peach and Mango), duffel coats, mountains, the word 'vibe', David Attenborough documentaries (preferably about ants or turtles), beanbags, people who are good with words and ting, romanticising past travel experiences, Louis Theroux, wikipedia, trying to forget all the horrendously embarrassing things that i bring on myself, ambiguous life goals.

Can't really talk about looking at the sun, can't do it!


Oh, seeing the stars as well. Very nice. "Like the eyes of Allah(swt)" I remember reading in the Qur'an translation.

Oh and it was the Abdullah Yusuf Ali translation (The IPCI Islamic Vision one)


and the exact quote, im sorry I dont know it! Obviously I cant prove it till I find the quote again but I do remember reading it. It stuck with me it was that good! I think at the bottom of the page in the translation it said 'the stars here in this verse are symbolic of Allah watching us'.

After spending the last week gorgin on chinese, pizza, meringues, apple pies, nando's chicken, choc cakes, fruit salads, cookie dough n icecream, cheesecakes, eclairs etc..I'm appreciating food a whole lot more these days. 😃 - and No I'm not fat (yet) just apreciate good food.


A great big alhumdullilah, for fathers who sort out cars that make funny noises, internet that doesnt work and tax forms that dont make sense.


Oh, and a great big alhumdulliah, for a job that doesnt feel like 'work' at all - in fact every day is a laugh.

u know there comes a time when you at breaking point, life sucks you dont wanna talk to anyone, you wish you werent born.. you make dua allah {swt} accepts it then gradually life becomes beautiful again..


a big fat alhamdulillah for that, and a even bigger one for allah s.w.t to have blessed me with a son who is the twinkle of my eye alhamdulillah.

Most defiantly does,


only thing is when ever I look up into the night sky I always wish that I see more stars then the previous time.


As it does go "the path of forgiveness will be closed when their not a single star to be seen in the sky."


Scary thought, as the stars to me most defiantly seem to be lessening. 🙁

I was going to mention that, the fact that the stars are becoming less and less visible as time goes by. Apparently LIGHT POLLUTION that we are emitting into the atmosphere means that the stars in about 50 years time will be very difficult to see. What a shame. Even more so for the romantic types lol.

A alhumdulillah for the life lesson that one learns through difficult times...and a bigger alhumdullilah for not always getting what one wants and then later realising that it wasnt good for you in the first place.
